Conversion pixels can be used track up to 5 different conversion events and their conversion values. Place conversion pixels on all pages where key conversion events occur. ## Benefits **Centralized Reporting** Once conversion pixels are place on your site, MediaAlpha will automatically start displaying relevant performance data on campaign screens so that you no longer have to merge data from multiple places to make informed decisions. Additionally, all reports will include this data. **Auto Channel Multipliers** Channel multipliers in Distribution can be configured to auto optimize channel multipliers based on data collected from conversion pixels. When conversion pixels are provided reliable data, automated channel right pricing will be done more timely and accurately. **Bid Suggest Tool** Leverage this tool to calculate ad group bids based on conversions or conversion values from pixels to hit target CPAs or ROAS goals. ## How to Configure Conversion Types 1. Select Manage > Advertiser Accounts from the left hand navigation. 2. Hover over the account you with to configure and click on the settings cog icon. 3. Select the "Conversions" tab. 4. Name your conversion "type", label your cost/unit and add notes for each pixel. Each pixel should represent a unique conversion event. For example, if you wish to track and optimize your campaign based on the number of successful Quotes resulting from each click you should name your pixel "Quotes" and label the cost/unit as "CPQ." In the notes field we recommend describing where the pixel will be placed on your site. For example, "Pixel placed on every page load of /quote-success.html." 5. Note that the status indicator will appear green with the total number of conversions once you have successfully placed your pixel and conversions are recorded. (35 day look back) ![]( ## How to Place Pixels on Your Site 1. Select Manage > Advertiser Accounts from the left hand navigation. 2. Hover over the account you with to configure and click on the "" icon. 3. Notice that the pixel descriptions will match the information you entered in the Pixels tab. 4. Choose the type code snippet (IFRAME or IMAGE). This setting does not have an impact on features available to you, but your website developer may have a preferring method that is more compatible with your website. 5. Choose to allow "Unique" or "Multiple" conversion events per click. Generally, you should use "Unique" unless your site encourages the same user to achieve multiple conversions. 6. If your account has been configured to accept conversion values, there will be additional instructions available that describe how to pass the value associated with each conversion as a parameter in the pixel code. 6. Copy the code snippets and paste into the tag of the pages corresponding with the relevant conversion events. ![](
